Fed's Poole says US econ prospects superb

St Louis Fed president William Poole said Wednesday 24 September, "I am optimistic about the U.S. economy. The recent performance of productivity has been stunning." Asked if he feared an impact on the market for U.S. Treasury bonds if Asian central banks stopped buying them, he said international capital flows are primarily a response to the strength of the U.S. economy and not a cause of the fluctuations in the Treasury market.
