Volume and Value of Thailand's BAHTNET: Dec 2000

The Bank of Thailand (BOT) announced that 56,667 transactions made through the BAHTNET payment system in the month of December 2000, valued Baht 4,672,336 million. Volume and value of the transactions were down by 16% and 37% respectively from November 2000.

The working daily average of transactions recorded in December numbered 2,982, amounting to a total value of Baht 245,912 million, a reduction of 2% and 27% respectively. This was due to the fact that in this month there were public holidays
