Panel to discuss central bank of Israel's wages

ISRAEL - Knesset State Control Committee Chairman MK Ran Cohen (Meretz) has called an extraordinary session for next week to discuss the Bank of Israel's wage policy.

Cohen criticised the high wages paid by the central bank, accusing it of failing to implement its own calls for wage restraint, Ha'aretz reported. "The Bank of Israel is not executing the policy it is preaching, and therefore, it must answer to the Knesset," Cohen said.
