Fed McTeer: Econ helped by monetary, fiscal policy

Dallas Fed chief Bob McTeer said Tuesday "we would do whatever is necessary" to stimulate growth but he didn't think there was any likely scenario in which the Fed would be forced to adopt extraordinary measures such as heavily increasing purchases of long-dated Treasury bills to stimulate growth.

The Federal Reserve still has considerable latitude to stimulate economic growth if needed, but probably won't have to take any additional steps given the likelihood that the economy
