SBP's Akhtar says inflation lower

The governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar Wednesday 4 April said the monetary tightening policy has yielded positive results, while maintaining that the core inflation has come down significantly.

"We will continue with monetary tightening policy till the end of inflationary pressures," she said while talking to reporters at Prize Award Ceremony-2007 organized by Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP) at Alhmara Art Centre.
