Plosser says committing to policy goal important

Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia president Charles Plosser said on Tuesday 10 April that committing to a policy goal and providing more information about the central bank's aims would help keep inflation expectations in check.

"It is important to be transparent so that the public's expectations and the objectives of monetary policy are better aligned," he told business and economic students at the University of Delaware.
