Slovak c bank says joining euro possible in 2007

SLOVAKIA - Central bank Governor Marian Jusko said on Wednesday Slovakia should adopt the single European currency as quickly as possible upon EU membership and urged other candidate countries to consider the same.

Jusko told Reuters in an interview that Slovakia could fulfil criteria for joining the single European currency at the start of 2007, some three years after the country hopes to enter the club of wealthier European nations.
