BoT's Tarisa says exports likely to decline

Bank of Thailand governor Tarisa Watanagase on Thursday 19 January said the Thai economy would grow at a slower pace this year since exports are likely to decline.

Speaking at a seminar on "Economic Perspective for 2005 by 1 Minister and 4 Governors," she said the country's economic growth this year would slow down because the exports are projected to drop thanks to the economic slowdown of key trading partners.

Tarisa said the central bank would make a downward revision of the economic growth
