Trichet voices concern on fiscal rule changes

European Central Bank head Jean-Claude Trichet voiced concern on Thursday 24 March about reforms to the European Union's stability and growth pact agreed by EU leaders this week.

"I cannot disguise our concerns," he said on Thursday, speaking one day after an EU summit in Brussels at which EU leaders rubber-stamped a reform of the Stability and Growth Pact making budget rules in the bloc more relaxed.
