Interview with Richmond Fed's Jeffrey Lacker

In an interview with the Financial Times, published Wednesday 8 November, Richmond Fed president Jeffrey Lacker said the Federal Reserve has failed to communicate its determination to bring down inflation in a forceful enough fashion.

In the interview with the FT Lacker said the US central bank had been "unclear" as to how it would respond to the pass-through of energy cost increases to consumers in the shape of higher prices.
