Fed's Hoenig - US economy likely to grow strongly

US - The U.S. economy is likely to grow strongly, Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank governor Thomas Hoenig said Tuesday.

Speaking at an economic forum sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas, he said he shared "a consensus the economy is expanding and beginning to grow robustly.

"How we react to that depends on how confident we are as to its durability," he said.
