Pillar 2 supervisory requirements broadly decided at national level

Only 15% of authorities operate regional supervision offices

All institutions participating in the Supervision Benchmarks 2025 take decisions on Pillar 2 capital requirements at a national level. There are just a few jurisdictions where such decisions are simultaneously taken at other levels.

Twenty-seven supervisory authorities provided information on the point at which Pillar 2 decisions are taken in their jurisdictions. All (100%) respondents say that the policy is made at national level. However, at two jurisdictions, the decision may also be reached
