Quarter of central banks have government reps on MPC

Only one such committee publishes policy-makers’ votes

One-quarter of central bank policy-setting committees have a government representative, the Monetary Policy Benchmarks 2025 find.

Monetary policy committees (MPCs) from 13 (26.5%) of 49 jurisdictions say they have a government representative. The figure represents an increase from the 22.2% published in the 2024 benchmark, though the samples vary.
