St Louis Fed president outlines his preferred view of monetary policy comms

Alberto Musalem has said the Federal Reserve should not communicate without a monetary policy framework in place.

Speaking at the London School of Economics on September 29, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis told attendees that at the core of a communications framework, there needed to be “clarity about how policy will respond to economic conditions”.
