Kosovo joins ECB’s enhanced repo facility

National central bank says inclusion provides ‘additional layer of resilience’ for financial system

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has joined the Eurosystem’s expanded repo facility.

In a statement on September 14, the central bank said its inclusion in Eurep marked an “important step in further strengthening the [central bank’s] framework for safeguarding financial stability and managing euro liquidity”. It added that the access would provide an “additional layer of resilience” for the country’s financial system.
