Brazil unveils 2027 budget to rein in spending and borrowing

Brazil’s government has said it will rein in spending and borrowing as part of its proposed budget for 2027.

In a bill submitted to Congress on August 31, the government projected an effective primary surplus of BRL18.6 billion ($3.6 billion), equivalent to roughly 0.1% of GDP, according to figures from the Rio Times.
