Supervision must be evidence-based, says ECB’s Buch

Hasty changes could risk loosening oversight and harm financial resilience, supervisory chief warns

Policy decisions about banking supervision must be based on sound evidence rather than anecdotes, the chair of the European Central Bank’s supervisory board has said.
