Eurozone inflation falls for first time in 17 months, estimates say
Eurostat figures show inflation dropping in most countries, including Germany
Headline inflation in the eurozone fell in November for the first time in 17 months, according to estimates from the European Union’s official statistical agency.
Eurostat published its first estimate for the month’s inflation today (November 30), showing year-on-year inflation falling to 10%, from 10.6% the previous month. The news may bolster the more dovish of the European Central Bank’s policy-makers when they attend the next rate-setting meeting in December.
