Yang says central bank will examine wider range of data to improve inflation estimates
Taiwan’s central bank is facing a range of challenges from global monetary tightening and increased economic uncertainty, its governor told a trade group on October 19.
Major unexpected events including the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukraine war have led to structural changes in global supply and demand patterns and accelerated de-globalisation, said Yang Chin-long, governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of China.
