Georgian central bank launches liquidity support for SMEs
New programme will supply liquidity to commercial banks in exchange for loan collateral
The National Bank of Georgia has launched a new credit facility that will increase support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
In a statement published on June 1, the central bank announced it had been providing liquidity to banks and microfinance organisation through existing mechanisms and a new short-term swap tool.
