Reserve managers move to less traditional instruments – survey
More managers increasing holdings of corporate bonds
Reserve fund managers are increasingly deciding to invest in less traditional instruments, according to the results of Central Banking’s latest Reserve Management Trends survey.
The 80 reserve managers surveyed manage a total of $5.9 trillion, or approximately 49% of the world’s total official reserves. Of these, 41% say they are currently investing in corporate bonds, while another 16% say they are now considering investing in these instruments. A further 22% say they would consider corporate
