People: Interim deputy for Ireland; Turkish MPC member quits
Appointments in Ireland, Turkey and at the European Securities and Markets Authority
Ireland: Bernard Sheridan has been appointed to fill the Central Bank of Ireland’s deputy governor post that was left vacant by Cyril Roux, on an interim basis.
Sheridan was formerly the central bank’s director of consumer protection, a role he continues to fill jointly with the deputy governorship.
Other aspects of the deputy governor role have been parcelled out to other senior central bank officials. Ed Sibley, director of credit institutions, will fill Roux’s seat on the European Central
