Sarb and Bundesbank expand co-operation

Annex to existing MoU will see Bundesbank representative based in the country

Deutsche Bundesbank has extended its co-operation agreement with Sarb

Deutsche Bundesbank and South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) will co-operate more closely in the area of financial stability, after extending a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in June 2015.

Last week in Shanghai, an executive board member at the Bundesbank, Andreas Dombret, and a South African deputy governor, Daniel Mminele, signed an annex to the MoU. It details further co-operation between the two central banks.
