Protesters claim victory in ECB ‘blockade'
An estimated 2,500 protesters today claimed to have blockaded the European Central Bank (ECB) in an exercise in civil disobedience aimed at highlighting a perceived democratic deficit in the workings of the central bank, and the ‘troika' of the ECB, European Commission and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
