RBA minutes show cautious optimism
The minutes of the Reserve Bank of Australia's July monetary policy meeting, published on July 17, showed cautious optimism regarding the global economic outlook.
The minutes noted that while growth had slowed in the US, China, and Europe, this was offset by a strengthening of the US housing market, an easing of policies in China and a more favourable response by markets to recent announcements by European policy-makers. The central bank also said the domestic economy was growing more strongly
