Cœuré gives views on eurozone picture

Benoît Cœuré, the newest member of the executive board of the European Central Bank (ECB) has added his voice to calls for officials in struggling eurozone countries to "address ongoing funding strains".

Speaking on February 19 at the 'Meeting on the Financial Crisis', hosted by the Initiative on Global Markets, at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Miami, Cœuré said the financial crisis had "posed challenges for us all".

Of the ECB's response, which included lowering interest
