Interview: Alan Bollard
Dr Alan Bollard was appointed governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in September 2002. Previously he was secretary to the treasury from 1998 to 2002 and chairman of the New Zealand Commerce Commission from 1994 to 1998. He was the director of the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research from 1987 to 1994 and has worked as an economist in a variety of positions in the UK and in the South Pacific.
