Asset Purchase Facility focus of BoE QE discussions

The Bank of England (BoE) may consider changing the maturity profile of its Asset Purchase Facility if it decides to loosen monetary policy in the future, according to minutes from the BoE's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting published on Wednesday.

Minutes of the September 7 and 8 meeting show members of the committee discussed in detail a range of options to ease monetary policy if it decided further stimulus was needed.

Members said the downside risks to inflation had "clearly increased"
