Former deputy chairman charged over Securency scandal
Bill Lowther, 71, has been charged over his involvement in alleged corruption at currency printing firm, Securency.
The former deputy chairman of the polymer banknote-making company that is an offshoot of the Reserve Bank of Australia, was charged with bribing Vietnam's former central bank governor.
In January, it was alleged that money paid by Securency to a Vietnamese businessman implicated in the graft scandal surrounding the company, had benefited Le Duc Thuy, a former governor of the State
