Turkey justifies September hold

The Central Bank of Turkey's rate-setting committee in September opted to keep rates on hold despite an improvement in the inflation outlook.

The committee assessed that recently heightened uncertainties in the global financial markets required monetary policy to remain cautious and decided to keep policy rates constant.
