Bernanke promotes Fed's profile, not his

According to this article published by Bloomberg on Monday 11 December, deflating the aura around his job may be Ben Bernanke's greatest triumph so far at the Federal Reserve.

"In 10 months in office, the U.S. Federal Reserve chairman has given just seven speeches on major economic themes; predecessor Alan Greenspan made 14 last year," the article says.

Bernanke has left it to others to do most of the talking about the outlook for economic growth and inflation, it says, as the Fed prepares to hold
