UK Tory chief: Euro tests are 'rubbish'

UK - United Kingdom Conservative Party leader Iain Duncan Smith has called on Tony Blair to hold an early referendum on the UK adopting the European single currency.

Mr Duncan Smith said it was time for the government to "stop hiding" behind five economic tests which "are rubbish" and to give the public their say on whether to keep the pound.

Speaking on BBC TV he said there would be a "clear choice at last" for the public with the Conservatives saying they would keep the pound.
