FRANCE - A trick question for euro-specialists: when is a franc worth Euros 34, not Euros 0.15?

The answer is when it forms part of the last batch of the old currency to be minted by the Monnaie de Paris. The French national mint plans to market a special silver franc, to be called the Ultime franc and signed by designer Philippe Starck, for Euros 34 and a gold version of the coin for Euros 535.
