Lazard CEO Peter Orzag says era of ‘supply side 2.0’ requires cross-disciplinary approach
Peter Orszag, the CEO of Lazard and a former member of US president Barack Obama’s administration, has said central bankers need to become “amateur geopolitical analysts” and invest in the tools that will help them to fulfil this role.
Speaking at the London School of Economics on September 14, Orszag – who ran the US Congressional Budget Office from 2007–08 and the Office of Management and Budget from 2008–11 – said the shift was necessary because the world was now in an era of “supply side 2.0”
