Bank of England’s COO gives update on ‘fintech accelerator’

The Bank of England (BoE) has been working with fintech firms over the past five months to develop the bank's practical experience in the field, the central bank's chief operating officer has said.

Speaking in Lisbon, Charlotte Hogg outlined some of the projects. One, undertaken with BMLL Technologies, uses a "machine learning platform", applied to historic limit order book data, which can spot anomalies and facilitate the use of new analytical tools.
