RBA says it has resolved system outages affecting payments

Around 500 property settlements also delayed by unnamed issue

The Australian central bank experienced two service disruptions on one day this week that affected hundreds of payments and property settlements.

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) said in a statement on January 28 that an issue the previous day had caused some batch payments to fail. A “subsequent issue” then occurred on the same day and around 500 settlements of property transactions were delayed.

The RBA said the initial issue had been resolved and services restored by around 5:20pm on January
