Pakistani central bank’s tech provider explains functionality behind Prism+

Pakistan’s new real-time gross settlement (RTGS) and central securities depository system (CSD) was built with artificial intelligence and Islamic law in mind, the technology provider behind the system tells Central Banking

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) launched the system, known as Prism+, on June 16. Bulat Nizamov, director of capital market products at CMA, says the upgrade was part of a broader modernisation initiative by the central bank. This, he says, was focused on enabling 24/7
