New Zealand to open next phase of RBNZ act review


New Zealand’s Treasury and central bank will open the second phase of the government’s review of the Reserve Bank Act in November, the Treasury said on September 10.

The process will review the legal mandate and decision-making process of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and is set to run until late January 2019. Its main goal is to gather stakeholders’ views on the key issues outlined by the minister of finance Grant Robertson on June 7, covering governance and questions of prudential
