Deputy governor warns of perils in changing Sweden’s inflation target

Introducing a higher inflation target for the Swedish economy "in isolation" would be problematic, the deputy governor of Sveriges Riksbank has said.

Speaking in Stockholm, Henry Ohlsson emphasised Swedish competitiveness would be "weakened" with a higher inflation target if other "important central banks" around the world stood firm by the target of 2%.
