Vanuatu holds rates and forecasts continued economic recovery
Pacific island nation’s central bank says reconstruction efforts, tourism, to drive economy
Vanuatu’s central bank has held rates and forecast contained inflation in the long term as well as a continued economic recovery.
The Reserve Bank of Vanuatu said in a statement today (July 6) that its board decided to keep its benchmark monetary policy rate unchanged at 2.75%. It said that recent stabilisation in the global economy and an economic recovery at home justified the decision.
