Sveriges Riksbank holds rates, signals longer-term pause

Swedish economy continues to grow, despite ‘dramatic’ geopolitical developments, bank says

Sveriges Riksbank has decided to hold rates at 1.75% and signalled that it will keep them at this level for “some time to come”.

In announcing its decision today (January 29), the bank cited stable economic growth, an improving labour market and recent inflation data having come in lower than it had been forecasting in December.
