Norges Bank leaves rates unchanged


The executive board of Norges Bank unanimously decided to leave interest rates unchanged after its monetary policy meeting on January 24.

Policy-makers say they are likely to hike rates in March. “The executive board’s assessment of the outlook and balance of risks suggested that the policy rate would most likely be raised in March 2019,” says the policy statement.

The executive board says on its assessment that capacity utilisation in the Norwegian economy continues to rise, and stresses that
