Bank of Ghana slashes rates as inflation moves towards target
Central bank continues an easing cycle that began in 2016
The Bank of Ghana has cut its headline interest rate by 200 basis points as it eyes inflation that appears likely to enter the target band “within the forecast horizon”.
“The disinflation process continued to firm up over the first two months of the year, with significant moderation in price pressures.
