Central bank votes to keep policy at 4.25%, citing prolonged uncertainty over Iran conflict

The National Bank of North Macedonia left rates unchanged at its July 28 meeting.

In a press release announcing the decision, the bank cited headline inflation having slowed to 3.4% in June from 4.8% in May, which it said was lower than the baseline scenario it had projected in April. It expected inflation to decline further and reach 2% by 2028.
