Bank of Ghana convenes emergency MPC meeting

Next monetary policy decision to be announced on July 28

The Bank of Ghana convened an emergency meeting of its monetary policy committee (MPC) on July 17. In a statement issued ahead of the meeting, the bank said the MPC would “review recent developments in the economy”. It did not elaborate further on the nature of these developments or why they had precipitated an emergency meeting.
