
Eurozone monetary policy must remain ‘firmly’ neutral – Schnabel
ECB board member cautions against overreacting to undershooting

Isabel Schnabel has said a “steady hand” should guide the European Central Bank’s monetary policy in the near future.
Speaking at an event at Stanford University in California on May 10, the ECB board member said that in the current context, the “appropriate course of action is to keep rates close to where they are today”, which she called “firmly neutral territory”.
