Inflation set to decline in Argentina this year – central bank survey

Market analysts expect year-on-year inflation to fall to 28.5% from 47.6% in December 2018

Inflation in Argentina looks likely to decline in 2019 after the acute crisis the South American economy experienced in 2018, said the Central Bank of Argentina on February 4.

A survey of market analysts’ expectations predicts year-on-year inflation will decline to 28.5% in December 2019, having been as high as 47.6% at the end of 2018. Inflationary pressures are expected to remain unchanged during the first quarter of 2019, and start to decline in the following months.
