Former Bank of Italy deputy blames G-20 for inaction
Economists already have a reasonable understanding of the problems associated with poor monetary policy cooperation on the international stage, but politicians are proving resistant, Fabrizio Saccomanni told a gathering of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) earlier this month.
Saccomanni, formerly the Bank of Italy's senior deputy governor and later Italian finance minister, made the remarks at a ‘special governors meeting' in Manila. He admonished the G-20 and the member governments
