The Central Bank of Brazil "will not be complacent with inflation" governor Alexandre Tombini insisted yesterday - pointing to a recent interest rate hike as evidence of the institution's commitment.
Speaking yesterday at a press conference after his position as head of the central bank was confirmed by Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff, Tombini offered reassurances the central bank was working to keep the inflation, currently at 6.5%, "under control".
