BoE's Martin Weale still unsure over Carney's forward guidance by consensus

Martin Weale, the UK economist who, as an external member of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), was the sole voter against Mark Carney's introduction of forward guidance this summer, today outlined his remaining concerns over governor Carney's attempts to operate forward guidance through a committee of individual members.

Speaking to a parliamentary scrutiny committee at the start of his second three-year term on the MPC, Weale said he backed the principle of forward guidance
